Then you get one to three concrete proposals from the directory with real names, CVs and a short rationale — sent to you, not published. Free, no sales pressure. If nobody fits right now, we say so and come back to you when someone does.

  • What you get: a written match list, usually within a week. If nobody fits right now, we tell you that too — and come back when someone does.

What happens after the briefing

No subscriptions, no tiers — a work contract as needed

  • Work contract — if one of the proposals fits, you get a concrete quote at a fixed price or as a retainer. half-work is the contracting party; the freelancer is our subcontractor.
  • Ongoing collaboration — optional afterwards: a retainer with a fixed band of hours, cancellable monthly, scalable up to a half or full position.

Three questions everyone asks first

Who will I be talking to?

Finn, the owner — not a sales team. If the conversation gets technical, we bring in the relevant freelancer, but not in the first thirty minutes.

What if nobody fits?

Then we say so honestly. We keep you on the “not a fit right now” list and get in touch actively as soon as someone joins the directory who matches. We will not sell you something vaguely suitable.

Does this work across borders?

Yes. We work with clients internationally and the briefing is in English if you prefer. Contracts are concluded in German and governed by German law — for EU clients that also means GDPR compliance is the starting point, not an extra.
